What are our plans?
As part of this project, the M.O.O.I. Foundation and the Future Tomorrow Foundation (FTF) are collaborating with a Dutch training partner to train local healthcare professionals in trauma processing using the Brainspotting method. Brainspotting is an effective, body-oriented approach to processing trauma. By training professionals in this method, we are increasing the capacity within The Gambia to better support people with deep psychological wounds.
The participants come from various fields: therapists, psychiatric nurses, social workers and other mental health professionals. By strengthening their knowledge and skills, they can help more people process traumatic experiences and contribute to a stronger and more resilient healthcare system.
